Ah recommendations. Well... keep in mind it is part of their JOB description to write them. And also, if they don't feel they can do it, they will either say they are over subscribed (not about you), or they don't know you well enough (which may be the case, so again, not about you). Either way they have to do it, and it's a badge of honor for some, who like to say, geez, I have SO MANY rec letters to write !!! Cue chest puffing and posturing in general. :)
