I used to LOVE shoe shopping and now it's such a crapshoot as to whether I'll be limping at the end of the day, have the back of my heel rubbed off, or both.

It's my penance for buying cheap vinyl heels at Payless in my 20s.

I remember Patricia A. McKillip!

Aw, Veronica’s friend sounds intriguing!

Thanks for the mention of Patricia McKillip. She slipped off my reading list years ago and I am happy to pick her up again with Kingfisher!

I like to support other Crones and enjoy reading these types of personal lists, yet if you had links to all these things, I think it would make it more fun. Maybe it's just me?

I know what you mean--I also love clicking through other people's lists. I provided links for the Japanese cosmetic products and the Old Navy jeans in the March roundup here https://cronelife.substack.com/p/content-consumption-march-2026. I didn't think anyone would be interested in the eBay items because those listings are closed (let me know if I'm wrong) but here are the Sephora links for BondiBoost https://www.sephora.com/product/bondi-boost-anti-frizz-fly-away-hair-serum-with-aloe-vera-caffeine-P510869?skuId=2766491 and the Cyklar body wash https://www.sephora.com/product/cyklar-mini-sacred-santal-sensorial-body-wash-for-moisture-barrier-P522075?skuId=2951754. Substack stats tell me that most people don't click through, so I've gotten a bit lazy about it.

I had noticed on other posts that you had all the links. They are fun. Sometimes when the listing is closed it's still fun to see the item. I'm enjoying your writing. Thank you!
